The development of new technologies, including imaging and laboratory exams, drugs, and preventive medicine, has rapidly increasing the age of the population all over the world. Unfortunately there is a direct relationship of senescence and risk of fractures. In this perpective, the role of aorthogeriatric multidisciplinary team and gradually has been accepted for the majority of trauma services worldwide. The purpose of this Special Issue is to present the co-managing approach of orthopaedic surgeons and other specialists dealing with difficult fractures in the elderly patient.
