Scope and purposes

The aim of this special issue is to provide scientific knowledge on pathways to care towards mental illness. Pathway to care highlights the help-seeking behavior of patients and their caregivers. An understanding of the help-seeking behaviors of patients with mental illness is vital for effective planning of psychiatric services across any country. The primary purpose of this issue is to highlight the extent, role and barriers in the pathways of care towards mental illness in clinical practice.

Topics of primary interest include, but are not limited to:
• Socio-cultural differences in care pathways
• Relevance of socio-economic factors in care
• Inter-relationship between varied disciplines and the impact on pathway of care
• Effectiveness and Determinants of pathway to care
• Barriers to implementation of clinical pathways
• Need and policy making issues

Deadline for revision: 06/30/2015
Notification of final decision: 07/15/2015
Estimated Publication: 09/15/2015 (Tentative)

Manuscript submissions are invited by the submission deadline. All papers will undergo a double or triple-blind peer review process.
