Scope and purposes
|
This special issue on “Optical Materials and Communication” publishes peer-reviewed papers on materials characteristics and devices based on light-matter interactions in the domain of Electromagnetics. It can provide new research and technology transfer between researchers working in photonics and material science for device based potential applications. It will enhance the communication technology worldwide. The current issue invites original research papers or review articles on material aspect of optical phenomena including structures, design, characterization and their potential applications.

Scope and purposes
|
Fractal structures have been attracting intensive research in the field of wireless communication for quite some time. They can be used as antennas or filters with enhanced features including miniaturized area, multiband operation, and tuning capability. However challenges still remain concerning their implementation, modeling, and optimization.
The objective of this special issue is to provide an overview of recent advances and emerging applications of fractal structures in wireless communications.
