Special Issue - Call for Papers
American Journal of Intelligent Systems
Information as Support for Transport Systems Development

Submission deadline: 10/31/2016

Scope and purposes

This Special Issue of American Journal of Intelligent Systems should contain papers about modern solutions for transport systems. Contemporary cities have problems with huge traffic and congestions phenomena. There are a lot of harmful emissions and noise. Large share in modal split has personal car. Insufficient level of efficiency of freight transport is another problem, especially at first and last mile. The Special Issue should show solutions for these problems by using information as support. Trip or transport planners can change travel behavior by using special criteria to connect origin and destination of travel. Other solution is to merge freight transport in supply chains. Traffic control by using it as wide connected zone can better organize road traffic. Information is also important during planning transport systems. That is why topics about transport measurements is welcome in Special Issue too.

Topics of primary interest include, but are not limited to:
• Trip Planners
• Freight Transport Planners
• Intelligent Transport Systems
• Information Transfer in Transport Systems
• Traffic Control
• Modelling of Transport Systems
• Transport Measurements
