Scope and purposes
|
|
To give updated information in various skin diseases those prevail in Tropical areas. This is important mostly for tropical and sub-tropical countries, but with the current huge international traveling it is important also for medical practitioners in the rest of the world. An example is the appearance of approximately 2000 laboratory-confirmed cases of cutaneous leishmaniasis among American soldiers who served in Iraq and Afghanistan in the period 2003-2008(Aronson NE. Leishmaniasis in relation to service in Iraq/Afghanistan, U.S. Armed Forces, 2001-2006. Medical Surveillance Monthly Report. 2007; 14:2–5).
