Hydraulics
Submission deadline: 06/01/2018
Scope and purposes
Hydraulics is an applied science whose purpose is to study the mechanical properties of liquids and fluids. Fluid mechanics is the theoretical basis of hydraulics. Engineering uses hydraulics for generating, controlling and transmitting power through the use of pressurized liquids. Hydraulic study topics cover scientific questions and engineering issues. Hydraulic engineering focuses on flow concepts in pipes, dam design, microfluidics and pumps. The principles of hydraulics are also used in biology in the human body for example the cardiovascular system. Free-surface hydraulics is the branch of hydraulics that studies free surface flow flows, such as rivers, canals, lakes, estuaries and seas.
Topics of primary interest include, but are not limited to:
• Hydraulic Machines (see hydromechanical and oleohydraulic) • Flows of Incompressible Fluids in a Pipe or with a Free Surface • Hydraulic Energy • Urban Hydraulics • Fluvial Hydraulics • the Hydraulics in Charge • Canals • Dams

Science and technology for innovation
Submission deadline: 11/30/2017
Scope and purposes
Recent years have been witnessing fast developments of measurement technologies and analysis techniques. These developments are partly driven by the introduction of new measurement technologies and partly by the requirements of industry in some emerging areas of applications. Moreover, ever growing interest to the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), which requires vital support from model tests and full-scale measurements, has been another major drive in addition to our never diminishing curiosity for many less understood complexities of flow design. The use of computers to solve complex fluid mechanics equations is a strategy used by around a third of fluid mechanics researchers. The fluid mechanics sector is a cornerstone of the industry and represents a full-fledged industrial sector (represented in the fields of equipment, processing, design and precision), but also A set of technologies on which are based many sectors such as those that build materials for transport, energy, health, environment. The aim of this special issue is to identify industrial needs and innovative technologies, propose research and technology orientations to initiate R & D projects, and provide information to industrialists, decision-makers and Scientists who may be unaware of the resources.
Topics of primary interest include, but are not limited to:
• Fluid Mechanics • Thermal Engineering • Hydrodynamic • Pipe flow • Newtonian and Non-Newtonian Fluid • Applied Engineering • Numerical Computation • Modelling and Simulation • Heat and mass Transfer • CFD • Applied Physics • Mathematical Physics • Aerodynamic & aerothermodynamics designing aspects of vehicles • All other topics related to fluid flow
