“International Journal of Tumor Therapy” is the Official Journal of the Scientific & Academic Publishing (SAP), an international journal publishing critical reviews, original research, research notes, debate and short reports and research remarks on experimental, clinical and computational tumor / cancer research.
Tumor is an anomalous growth of body/organ tissue and it can be cancerous (malignant) or noncancerous (benign). Cancer is a most important public health problem worldwide. Scientific evidences suggest that about 22.2 million cancer cases expected to occur in 2030. Cancer is treated with surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, hormone therapy, biological and targeted therapies. There is a need for the development of complementary and alternative treatment for tumor. Tumor therapy is an emerging field with potential applications for human health, such as innovative anticancer drugs, new cancer vaccines, photodynamic and radiation therapy of tumors. Tumor therapy aims to address a wide range of pharmacologic and oncologic concerns, cell and molecular biology of tumors, experimental therapeutics, carcinogenesis, oncogenes, genomics and proteomics.
The aim of the special issue is to assemble original research articles, critical reviews, research notes, debate and short reports in the areas of complementary and alternative treatment strategies for tumor, which offer huge insights in understanding important biological processes, with particular emphasis on diagnosis and treatment of disease of tumor. A central premise of the special issue is to cover interdisciplinary research areas of novel tumor / cancer treatment strategies, pharmacologic and oncologic concerns, toxicology, experimental and in-silico screening of new antitumor agents, drug administration, preclinical and clinical trials in oncology.
